Before TopKnock can run ads for your business, you need a Meta (Facebook) ad account. If you don't have one yet, this guide walks you through it in about 10 minutes.
Skip this step if: You already have a page for your business
Tip: Use your real business name, not a personal name. This is what homeowners will see on your ads.
Tip: Business Suite is free. It's just Meta's way of organizing business assets (pages, ad accounts, etc.) in one place.
Tip: You only need one ad account. TopKnock manages everything inside it — campaigns, ad sets, and creatives.
Tip: Meta charges your card directly for ad spend. TopKnock never touches your ad money — we only charge our platform subscription separately.
Tip: You can revoke access anytime from your Meta Business Settings. Your ad account is always yours.
Identity Verification (one-time)
Meta may ask you to verify your identity with a photo ID or business documents. This is normal for new ad accounts and usually takes 1-2 business days.
Ad Review (each campaign)
Every new ad goes through Meta's review process. Most ads are approved within 24 hours, sometimes in minutes. TopKnock handles all the compliance rules so your ads don't get rejected.
Spending Limits
New ad accounts start with a low daily spending limit (around $50/day). This increases automatically as Meta trusts your account — usually within the first 1-2 weeks. TopKnock optimizes your budget within whatever limit you have.
Special Ad Category
Contractor ads fall under Meta's “Housing” special ad category. Don't worry — TopKnock automatically sets this up correctly for every campaign. It just means your ads will target homeowners broadly (no age or gender restrictions) which is actually what you want.
Once your ad account is set up, check if your territory is available.
