Data Deletion

Last updated: April 15, 2026

TopKnock Marketing LLC ("TopKnock") respects your right to control your data. This page explains how to request deletion of your account and associated data, whether you created an account directly or authorized TopKnock through Facebook Login.

1. Self-Service Deletion (Fastest)

If you have a TopKnock account, you can delete it yourself at any time:

  1. Sign in at topknock.ai/sign-in
  2. Go to Settings → Account
  3. Click Delete Account and confirm
  4. Your data is soft-deleted immediately. Hard deletion completes within 30 days (earlier on request).

2. Email Request

If you can't sign in, send a deletion request to privacy@topknock.ai from the email address associated with your account. Include:

  • Your registered email address
  • Your business name (as it appears in TopKnock)
  • A short statement: "I request deletion of my TopKnock account and all associated data."

We will verify your identity and confirm deletion within 7 business days. Full deletion (including backups) completes within 30 days per our standard retention schedule.

3. Facebook / Meta Users — App Removal

If you authorized TopKnock through Facebook Login for Business, you can also request deletion by removing the TopKnock app from your Facebook account:

  1. Go to Facebook Business Integrations
  2. Find TopKnock in the list
  3. Click Remove

Facebook will notify TopKnock automatically. We will then:

  • Disconnect your Meta ad account from TopKnock
  • Pause any campaigns we were managing on your behalf
  • Schedule deletion of your account data within 30 days

You can also request deletion directly through our callback endpoint — Facebook provides a signed request, and we respond with a confirmation URL and code. This is the path Meta uses during App Review compliance testing.

4. What Gets Deleted

  • Your user profile (name, email, authentication data)
  • Your business profile and configuration
  • Lead records generated through your campaigns
  • Campaign and creative data
  • Call recordings and SMS history
  • Voicemail uploads
  • Audit logs (beyond the minimum legal retention period)

5. What We Retain (and Why)

Some data is retained for legal or legitimate business purposes:

  • Billing records — retained 7 years to comply with tax and accounting laws.
  • Fraud / security logs — retained 12 months to detect and prevent abuse.
  • Aggregate, de-identified metrics — may be retained indefinitely; these cannot be traced back to you.
  • Data subject to active legal hold — retained until the hold is lifted.

6. Timeline

  • Soft delete: immediately on request (your data is marked deleted and no longer accessible in the product).
  • Production database purge: within 30 days.
  • Backup rotation: deletions propagate on the next backup cycle — backups are rotated every 30 days.
  • Confirmation email: we send you a final confirmation once the purge completes.

7. Third-Party Data

When you disconnect, we instruct our subprocessors to delete your data from their systems where they are acting as our processor. Subprocessors with independent retention obligations (for example, Stripe for billing records) follow their own retention schedules, which we cannot override. See our Privacy Policy for the list of subprocessors and their roles.
